Depression & Anxiety
Depression & Anxiety Therapy: Understanding What Hurts
Sometimes depression creeps in quietly: mornings feel heavier, the things that once moved you no longer do, and your mind begins replaying perceived failures as if they were immutable facts.
Anxiety can feel like its opposite — a mind that never stops, thoughts circling endlessly, the body always braced for what might go wrong.
If this sounds familiar, you’re far from alone. What many people don’t realize is that these experiences are widespread and deeply human. According to the CDC (2023), more than one in five U.S. adults report symptoms of anxiety or depression in a typical two-week period.
You are not weak for feeling this way, and you are not alone. What you’re facing is part of the wider landscape of being human — but it can change. Depression and Anxiety are treatable.
How We’ll Work Together
As a clinical social worker, my focus is on the whole person — how your emotions, relationships, and lived environment interact. Healing begins when we look at these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. In our work together, you’ll find a space that is steady, respectful, and collaborative.
My approach draws on Gestalt therapy, mindfulness practice, and years of experience helping people navigate grief, addiction, relationship struggles, and life transitions. Because I believe therapy should remain within reach for everyone, we’ll discuss a fee structure that respects your circumstances.
Together, we will:
Explore what your emotions are trying to tell you instead of fighting them.
Identify the thoughts, habits, and surroundings that intensify distress.
Practice ways of grounding, calming, and restoring a sense of agency.
Reconnect you to the values and experiences that make life feel meaningful again.
Therapy is not about “fixing” you; it’s about helping you listen to yourself more clearly until new possibilities begin to emerge. Over time, small moments of relief grow into confidence — and confidence becomes the ground for change.
Moving Toward Wholeness
With consistent attention and a relationship built on trust, many people find their mood steadies, their thoughts soften, and their daily life becomes lighter and more manageable.
The process is gradual but deeply real: mornings return, conversations feel easier, and the world begins to open again.
The first step is simple — a conversation.
No labels, no pressure. Instead, we’ll have an honest talk about where you are and what kind of support would feel right.
Please know–you don’t have to carry this alone.
Let’s begin the work of helping you feel at home in your own life again — so the heaviness and racing thoughts that once ruled your days no longer define them.
I’m Anthony Morelli. If you’re ready to heal, I’m ready to help.
I employ a non-judgemental approach and utilize trauma-informed therapies (Sand Tray, Family Constellations, Gestalt, parts work, CBT & others) to create a nurturing, boundaries, and intentionally collaborative relationship with you. Because of this, you can honor, express, and explore challenges – and the grief that accompanies them – in ways that work best for you.
